Casual Lifeguards - Bay Venues Ltd
Are you looking for a role working with a great bunch of people, that benefits the community and earns you some extra money in your spare time - then why not give lifeguarding a try!
There are currently opportunities within our aquatics team for casual lifeguards across the Mount Hot Pools, Baywave, Greerton Aquatic Centre and Otumoetai Pool.
As a lifeguard, you will need to be able to swim 200m in 6 minutes or less and be able to stay on your feet for extended periods of time. This role will keep you on your toes!
Our aquatic facilities are open from early to late, seven days a week, 364 days a year so we are looking for team players who will regularly put their hand up for shifts, particularly in the weekends, school holidays and evenings. Duties will include interacting with customers, supervising swimmer's poolside, as well as keeping our facilities clean. Our biggest focus is the safety of our customers in the water so the ability to keep a level-head and be calm under pressure is a must.
Previous experience in lifeguarding is not necessary as full training can be provided. Our next PLPC (pool lifeguard training) will be held on (insert dates). You would need to be available to attend both days of training.
We have a great team culture and enjoy regular staff functions with the wider Bay Venues family. The wage for this role is $20.00 - $22.09 depending on your level of experience and aptitude. If you've got what it takes, you can step into a permanent role that comes with a range of benefits and continue to progress a career in the aquatic and recreation industry.
